Getting started

Keepcord keeps your Discord community recoverable: members verify once, every setting is backed up on a schedule, and if the server is nuked or deleted you rebuild it and pull everyone back with one command.

What Keepcord does

Verification

A Verify button in your server opens a page with a captcha and Discord OAuth. Keepcord stores a token that lets it re-add the member later, plus a trust score, device and network details.

Member recovery

Lost the server? Create a new one, run /pull and every verified member is added back with their roles and nicknames, in the background and resumable.

Backups & restore

Roles, channels, permissions, settings, emojis, stickers, bans, AutoMod and the last messages of every channel with photos and GIFs. Restore with a dry run first.

Anti-nuke

Audit-log watcher: when one account deletes or bans too much too fast, Keepcord strips its roles or bans it, takes an emergency backup and alerts you.

Your bot, your brand

Every server runs under its own Discord application hosted by Keepcord. Paid plans hide our branding and serve the verify page on your own domain.

API & webhooks

Scoped API keys, signed webhooks for every event, CSV/JSON export. Build your own tooling on top of your verification data.

Quick start

Ten minutes from zero to a protected server.

  1. 1

    Sign in with Discord

Open the dashboard. Keepcord only asks for identify and guilds to list the servers you manage.
  2. 2

Pick a server and follow the setup wizard

You register your own Discord application (name, client id, client secret, bot token) and enable the three privileged intents. Keepcord validates everything against Discord and starts your bot within seconds. Details in Setup wizard.
  3. 3

    Invite the bot

The wizard shows an invite link with the exact permission set. Keepcord waits until the bot is in the server.
  4. 4

Choose verify channel, verified role and log channel

Then post the verify message. Members click Verify, pass the captcha and authorize the app. The log channel receives a report for every verification.
  5. 5

    Take a first backup

Run /backup once so a restore point exists before anything goes wrong. Automatic backups are weekly on Free and up to hourly on Plus.

Test it on a staging server first

Keepcord never changes anything in your server without a command or a dashboard action. Still, the fastest way to learn the restore and pull flows is a throwaway server with a handful of friends.

Core concepts

  • Authorization: the record created when a member verifies. It holds the encrypted OAuth token, trust score, flags, country, device and (if enabled) IP and connected accounts. Statuses: active, quarantined, flagged, blocked, revoked, blacklisted.
  • Job: any long-running task (pull, backup, restore, mass role, kick unverified). Jobs run in the background, report progress, can be cancelled and resume from where they stopped if the bot restarts.
  • Backup: a versioned, compressed snapshot of the server. Backups can be diffed against each other and restored in merge or replace mode.
  • Bot app: the Discord application you registered in the wizard. Keepcord hosts the process; you own the identity. One app can serve several of your servers.
  • Team: dashboard access for people who are not the owner, with roles admin, moderator and viewer and per-permission overrides.
